The ‘100 van Leeghwater’ is a 100 km walk, on the first Friday and Saturday of August every year. 2 and 3 August 2019. The start and finish of this walk is in Zuidschermer, in the heart of the country of Leeghwater. The varied route will take you along dikes and roads in the Schermer, the Beemster, and through the picturesque villages of Schermerhorn, Middenbeemster and De Rijp, amongst others. The participants will also walk through Alkmaar, the city of cheese, with its famous Waagplein. A beautiful, authentic, and monumental territory in the province of North Holland.
As a participant in the ‘100 van Leeghwater’ you will be pampered. During the walk you will have food, snacks, and drinks on more than 10 locations.
In addition to the 100 km there will also be a 105 km walk this year.
When you finish the 105 km walk, you will receive a special ‘long distance walker’ stamp.
